New Client - Young Adult

Sometimes it can be hard to manage feelings, feel good, or handle anxiety on your own. I can help you understand yourself better and help you manage life’s challenges. Opening up to someone new can be uncomfortable, so finding someone who seems to ‘get you’ is important.  Research shows that the most important variable in determining counselling’s effectiveness is feeling understood by your therapist.  So be sure to spend some time finding someone who is the right fit. 

I believe that therapy works best when we work collaboratively to understand the problem – when it started, what keeps it going – and then find ways of moving forward.  Information about family background, present circumstances, and current relationships is usually a helpful first step in the therapy process. 

If you have decided that you would like to work with me, please contact me by phone or email to arrange for a short intake interview over the phone. Once we have determined that we will work together, we will book our first therapy session. I will send you some forms for you to complete and bring with you to your first session.

If you are still not sure I offer a free 25 minute consultation that can be done on the phone or in person to help you decide if I am a good fit for you.  This can be a time to ask me questions about myself, my approach, and my experience addressing the challenges you are facing.
